The Tooth About the Body

On March 5th, 2013

This isn’t the first time I will mention the magnificence of the human body.  There are so many details that we will never know. Have you ever thought of just how incredibly the body can heal a cut without you even giving it any thought?   Our bodies are trying to share very unique details with us every day.  If we would only just learn to listen we could nip so many ailments before they get too advanced.

Most people don’t know the connection between their teeth and the rest of their body. Some in the medical community do recognize the importance of regular teeth cleanings because bacteria in the mouth can lead to a host of health issues including heart issues.

Did you know that each tooth has a very unique relationship with other parts of the human body?  For instance, there are specific teeth that relate to the lungs, intestines, feet and even specific vertebra.  Because this relationship exists, it can be used as an indicator of a health issue that may not have surfaced yet.

Let me give you an example.   Perhaps you have seen someone that has a tooth that has started to turn a different color than the rest of the teeth or maybe the tooth has even died.  Now, let’s say this same person is or was a heavy smoker.  Most people might think the tooth is discolored because of smoking.  However, since this tooth relates to the Lung or in Chinese Medicine the Lung Meridian, the tooth may have died because of stress or an imbalance in the lungs.   So the tooth could be highlighting that there is stress in the lungs or vice versa.  The lungs, being stressed, may have caused the body to transfer energy away from the tooth and over to the lungs to help them through their imbalance because the body would rather sacrifice a tooth, rather than a lung.  Doesn’t that make sense?

The next time you have a toothache, or other dental concern, consider what else your tooth may be trying to tell you about your body’s health. Please feel free to use this fantastic tooth chart.   If you have a tooth requiring dental work or one that is problematic locate it on the chart in the link and see if there are any other corresponding body parts where you are also experiencing trouble.  You may have just found your motivation to address that troublesome tooth.

BodyTalk is a phenomenal way to help bring relief to many dental issues and is non-invasive so if you don’t like the dentist, consider scheduling your appointment today.  However, it is important to seek the opinion of a dental professional to be sure you understand all of your options.
